Looking to make it a Treble, Thats Basildons Danny Buchan, A firm favourite with the Irish race fans, Danny Buchan has confirmed his return to the Hillsborough MCC end of season SUNFLOWER TROPHY RACE Meeting, which takes place at the Bishopscourt Race circuit, Friday and Saturday 21st and 22nd October.
Whilst 2016 may not have bought the results he was capable of in British Superbikes, Buchan, the former 2014 British 1000cc Superstock champion, began the 2016 season with the Moto Rapido Ducati team, but unfortunately things didn’t work out for him, and he returned to the Tsingtao/MSS Kawasaki squad, However, just prior the Dutch round of the BSB Championship last week, Danny and the team went their separate ways, But the good news is, that he has returned to MSS Kawasaki, the same team in which he sealed success last year at the Sunflower Trophy races

Buchan “ Looking forward to coming back to defend my title. Really want the 3rd in a row, to take the trophy home.
I know it wont be easy with Glenn and a few others going, but I know it will be a good fun, clean ,hard racing, and I looking forward to that, I will be there with Nick Morgan on a BSB Spec superbike, that we call the Hybird! as it was originally built in my Dads workshop!, so, yes, it should be good fun!.
The Sunflower is always a race that I look forward to, as There is always a great turnout, and great crowds, so Yeah, hope to see you all there”

The 23 year old rider, will be aiming for his third victory in succession, and if he can scoop the Sunflower trophy again this year, he will get to Keep this Prestigious trophy!, an achievement that can be shared with past triple winners, Scotlands Brian Morrisson and our own Michael Laverty
