Lynn looking forward to the Sunflower
3,2,1, For Maghera rider, Jason Lynn, this was the countdown to his first ever Irish Championship title, which he clinched at the recent St Angleo short circuit meeting. Third in 2014,second in 2015, and finally nailed it in 2016!
Looking ahead to the JAS Finlay Sunflower race meeting, Lynn is feeling much more relaxed, now that the Championship pressure is off, and is relishing the chance to race with Britains best. Lynn is confident of giving it his best, and reckons the visiting riders may not get it all their own way.
Of course, anyone who has witnessed the 600 supersport class in Ireland, will agree, we have top class riders, who have entertained us at every race meeting with their cut throat approach to win!
Jason has also moved up to the Superbike class, on a new ZX10 Kawasaki, despite some very impressive performances, Jason admits, he has a long way to got to be running up front at the Sunflower meeting.
“This is one of the meetings I look forward to each year, seeing the British Supersport guys over and seeing how I compare to them. It’s really nice to race against them, but this year we will be aiming to mix it up with them. As for the superbike it still a big learning curve, heading to Bishopscourt blind, having never ridden the bike there before, it was be an uphill struggle, but we will try find something that works and move from there and try for the best result we can, but for sure it won’t be easy with the likes of Danny and Glenn and Co there
