Irish Minibike Championship
The inaugural Irish Minibike Championship swings into action this forthcoming Saturday (24th March 2018) at the hugely popular Bishopscourt Racing Circuit, located just outside Downpatrick Co. Down, BT30 7SY.
Classes are as follows:
Irish Minibike Championship – Mini-Moto Rookies
Temple Tree Services – Mini-Moto Junior Pro
BMW Autoparts Toomebridge – Junior Gearbox
FB Motors – Senior Stock Pitbike
K2 Scaffolding – Vets Stock Pitbike
House of Elliott Flowers – Senior MiniGP/Moto4
AJM Car Sales – Senior Open
The format for Saturday’s Event will be as follows:
7:00 Gate Opens
7:30 – 8:45 Registration and Safety Inspection
8:45 – 9:15 Junior Competitor Track Walk
9:15 – 9:25 Rider’s Briefing
10:05 – 11:15 Untimed Practice
11:15 – 12:15 Qualifying
12:15 – 12:40 Break
12:40 – 14:10 Race Block 1
14:10 – 15:35 Race Block 2
15:35 – 17:10 Race Block 3
Please note that times are for guidance only.
Championship Standings for each event will be based on the results over the 3 Races.
Awards, Junior Competitor Trophies and Senior Prize-Money will be presented on the day.

Round 1will see Former Irish Road Racing Champion Darren Burns, the very versatile Nigel Robinson and returning Pitbike Champion Jordan Brown in action. Also joining us on track will be a few of our female Members – Nancy Armstrong and Diane Hillis – both contenders in their own right.
An added bonus on the day, will be a “Star of the Day” Award, which will be awarded to the rider giving the most effort, or most outstanding performance of the day.
Irish Minibike Championship are fortunate to have our Youth Ambassador, British Talent Cup Contender Jonny Campbell, available to provide advice and encouragement to all their Youth Competitors’ during the scheduled track walk and throughout the day and are very much looking forward to watching their development under his guidance.
