Motorcycle Racing in Ireland is world renowned since its first meeting
in 1903 and for the very first time in Ireland there will be a dedicated motorcycle festival at the Bishopscourt racing circuit on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August. It has been a dream of 11-time TT winner Phillip McCallen to celebrate the unique Irish heritage by having Ireland’s own Classic Bike Festival Ireland sponsored by GO. Once Phillip put his plans into action he has been inundated with the
best collection of some of the worlds most famous machines that were formerly ridden by Joey Dunlop, Tom Herron, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts, Bob McIntyre, Malcolm Templeton, Raymond McCullough, Frank Kennedy, Roger Marshall, Neil Robinson, Richard Britton, Sammy Miller, Sam McClements, Ralph Bryans and William Dunlop. Over the weekend many of these machines will he heard and seen in all their former glory out on the Bishopscourt circuit. Parades include Lightweight, 250 & 350 GP, 500-750, Superbikes, Classic and Road Bike classes.There are special dedicated tribute displays to the Armoy Armada, Dromara Destroyers and Tom Herron.
