Sat/Sun 18/19 Oct. Sunflower Trophy ISB
This year the Sunflower Trophy Race and Superbike classes include the Relentless by TAS Suzuki Team of Michael Laverty and on a superbike Ian Lowry together with possibly one other. The Paul Bird Vent Axia World Superbike Team of Chris Walker and Greg Laville, the North West 200 Ducati Team with Michael Rutter and on a full blown superbike his team mate, John Laverty. The class includes entries from our own top men, including Denver Robb, Michael Pearson, Alastair Seeley, Marshall Neill to name but a few. The class really is bristling with the cream of Irish talent and with our visitors, will be reminiscent of the Sunflowers of yesteryear with further international interest from Mat Nilsson (Sweden) and Agoston Rosivall (Hungary).
The Mini Twins (400cc class) is infact oversubscribed and includes leading talent such as Wayne Kirwin, Lee Hill, Darren Gilpin etc. This will prove to be another exciting encounter.
The 600cc class reads like a who’s who of this highly competitive class and includes Ian Lowry, Alister Kirk, Alastair Seeley, Lee Johnston & Nikki Coates etc.
125cc Class, as is normal, shows a highly competitive field, including the KRP Team of Tim Hastings, Paul Jordan, William Dunlop plus one other, it includes our own Irish Champion Nigel Percy with Davy Lemon and from our own club new talent, in the shape of Drew Jamison, Stuart Elwood & Timothy Elwood. An interesting entry here is from a Moto GP competitor P.J. Jacobson from America.
As is usual at a Hillsborough meeting, sidecars figure prominently and we are pleased to announce entries have been secured from multiple World Champions Tim Reeves/Patrick Farrance, and 3rd place in the World Championships this year – Ben & Tim Birchall and from Scotland Gordon Shand/Anthony Belsey together with all of our top Irish exponents and other cross channel competitors.
250cc field entry list includes Gareth Keys, William Dunlop, Mark Lunney, Ian Morrell and from the Isle of Man multi speed exponent Dan Sayle.
