IFS David Wood Trophy Races Round 9 of the AJ Plumbing Supplies Ulster Superbike Championship. 2019 Prestigious IFS David Wood Trophy Races, the penultimate round of the AJ Plumbing Supplies – Ulster Superbike Championship. Competitors can take advantage of our 4 Championship Races per class over the two days with a maximum 100 championship points available. All championships are very much to contend for except the 500cc Classic which Lewis McClements has a 190-point advantage over second place. It’s all to play for over the penultimate and Final round at St Angelo on the 5th October.

MCRRCI has all our long-term sponsors retained which brings an attractive prize fund for the competitors. Saturday 9am practice with an 18 race program of sprint races from 11.30am.

Sunday Racing from 9am for 18 longer races. Once again, we have Product supported prizes including sets of Pirelli Tyres, Arai Helmet for the Man of Meeting by MotoDirect, The IFS David Wood Endeavour Award – sponsored by Charles Hurst Hyundai Dundonald & Rea Timber Craft.

We also have the Arai Helmet support team at the event for services and repairs. IFS Global Logistics continue as our Title Sponsor, a company with a long history involvement in motorcycle racing and Riders.

The club are surely fortunate by the generosity of our loyal sponsors, IFS, Pirelli, Motodirect, C.Hurst Hyundai, Walter Bell Oil Fired Boilers, St Patrick Slemish Water, Rea Timber Craft, Robinson Concrete, Kenny Duncan Plant Donegal, Ophir Motors Dundrod, SignStik Crumlin, Wiz Knee Sliders and Nutt Travel. Awards for the meeting THE IFS DAVID WOOD TROPHY plus A SET OF PIRELLI TYRES and £1200. 2nd place trophy £500 and a Pirelli rear tyre, 3rd place trophy £300 and a Pirelli front tyre. 4th £150 5th £100 6th £90 7th £80 8th £70 9th £60 10th £50 by Pirelli Tyres WIZ KNEE Sliders Superbikes – JOE LINDSAY CUP plus £400, 2nd trophy £200, 3rd trophy £100. Superbike Cup- Sam Martin Cup + £100.

The Arai Helmets Man of the Meeting – will receive a New Arai Helmet. The Arai Helmet Man of the Meeting award will be based on a point system on 1st -3rd position finishes, Pole Positions and fastest laps in each class.

Competitors in all classes have a chance of winning this award. (A competitor riding in several classes may not win this award) By MotoDirect Nutttravel.com ‘’SAIL to POLE’’ Award £100. (Supersport Pro only) MCRRCI David Wood Club Member Endeavour award £200 = sponsored by Charles Hurst Hyundai Dundonald & Rea Timber Craft Crumlin Sidecars – Edwin Neil Trophy Presented by Killinchy & District MCC. The Supersport Pro class is again the Featured event with the most prize money and awards up for grabs, including the IFS David Wood Trophy, which is sponsored by Pirelli Tyres.

Jason Lynn Walter Bell Yamaha – 2018 USBK Supersport Champion, currently holds 2 nd in this year’s championship, and 2017/18 DWT winner will be returning hoping to do a treble of back to back Wins.

Mark Conlin (Magic Bullet Yamaha) currently 3rd in the championship and Christian Elkin leading the championship (Yamaha) has been consistently filling the podium positions this year and will be hoping to prevent Jason from the overall win!

Pro class has 2018 USBK Champion Gerard Kinghan (IFS Yamaha) currently 4th in USBK Championship needs to close in on Aaron Armstrong, Ali Kirk and Championship leader Carl Phillips.

Ryan Gibson and Barry Graham and Gary McCoy could also be in the mix. The event caters for all the USBK Championship Classes Superbikes, Supersport, Supertwins, Production Twins, Moto 3, Lightweight, Pre Injection, Classic, SS300/Young Guns, Junior Cup, Sidecars and Superbike/Supersport Cup.

So we have bumper packed program for the spectators. You all will be warmly welcomed to Bishopscourt Racing Circuit. Misano Imports will have the New TDR300 on show at the event which will feature in the 2020 USBK championship.

Practice at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit commences @ 9am Saturday 21st followed by 9 races from 11.30am. Sunday 22nd @ 9am 18 Race program. MCRRCI have a great entry line up for round 9 of the Championship and IFS David Wood Trophy Races.

This Event can be enjoyed for just £10 pp Event admission and under 12yrs go free. Bishopscourt Racing Circuit has all catering, rest room and disabled viewing facilities. The circuit will be open from 4pm Friday 20th September for paddock set up and Scrutineering.
