Superbike Entry For Jason Lynn.
Jason Lynn is to step up on to a Superbike for this years Sunflower Trophy Races at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit next week.
Having just clinched his fourth successive Supersport championship he has decided that the time is right to make the move up to the premier class.
He recently took delivery of an ex John Burrows Suzuki GSXR 1000 which he will be making his assault on the 2020 Ulster Superbike Championship.
Yesterday the team carried out their first test session at Kirkistown to get the feel of the bike and a quick lesson on set up and the day was very positive with quite a bit learnt in the short time available. With lap times improving as the day went on.
He will be making his race debut next weekend at the Sunflower Trophy Races at Bishopscourt.
He said “it was great to eventually get out on the new bike, we didn’t have a lot of time today as the weather closed in and brought the session to a premature end but we did learn quite a bit.
Looking ahead to the end-of-season Sunflower showpiece, which has attracted entries from top British championship riders Richard Cooper and Christian Iddon,
“Next week at the Sunflower should give me a good marker as to where we stand against the usual USBK contenders, testing is one thing but racing is a completely different scenario.”
“It will also be good to get out there with a few of the BSB lads. I just need to get as much track time as I can to get used to the bike, the extra power and different handling characteristics etc, prior to the start of next season’s championship.”
